Original Kanak - what is that supposed to be?
My grandpa came to Germany to work with the intention of building up some wealth and returning home.
The result: The 4. Generation has already been reached. Born in Germany, grew up in Germany, went to school in Germany and worked in Germany. We all have a piece of Germany within us, but we always long for our roots, ancestors, culture and history.
To be honest, it's not always easy when you don't know who you are or who you belong to. What many of us have probably already noticed: In Germany you are a foreigner and in your home country you are a German.
It all started with the question: “Who am I?” In search of my true identity, I became more and more immersed in Turkish culture and its history. It went from Fatih Sultan Mehmet to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, from Müslüm Gürses to Baris Manco.
I didn't want to be the foreigner or the German anymore - I am I!
With "Original Kanak" I wanted to give those who feel exactly like me the opportunity to make their interests, their culture and their roots their daily companion. Modern fashion combined with a touch of culture and history.
